The PeteZeria Forno Story - The Inspiration
"My parents, Peter and EdnaMae Campanile, owned and operated Tower Delicatessen in the town of Burlingame, CA from 1955 until 1995. Ever since I was tall enough to stand on a milk crate, I was eager to help. With wonderment, I learned everything I could from not only my parents, but my two brothers who are also chefs. My passion and desire grew as I took on the role of preparing all the food from scratch, and eventually catering not only intimate but grand affairs, as well. I enjoyed every minute of my time in the Deli.
Following my years in Burlingame, I continued in the food industry with Gallo Salame. I immersed myself in all aspects of the business including blending spices, product procurement, and production and management.
Still, in my heart, I knew a family-run business was what I truly desired.
It is from this desire, that PeteZeria Forno was created. I am proud to have my family along side me on this journey helping me. Most parties you will see my wife, Suzanne, and our (adult) children cooking along side me. We operate a mobile, wood-fired pizza business, and we bring the party to you! Our Neopolitan-style pizzas are scratch made with ingredients that are imported from Italy, as well as locally sourced and organic whenever possible. I am all about providing you an easy experience for you to be able to actually enjoy your own party without having to worry about cooking.
